Work Packages

The HI EU – Croatian Initiative for the European Union in Schools project is structured into five work packages, ensuring the systematic implementation of activities and the achievement of project goals. Each work package focuses on a key aspect of EU education and provides teachers and students with the necessary tools, training, and resources.

WP1: Project Management and Coordination

This work package ensures efficient project management, activity monitoring, and coordination among partners. Key activities include:

  • Organizing meetings and regular communication between partners,
  • Monitoring progress and evaluating results,
  • Administrative and financial project oversight,
  • Reporting to the European Commission and relevant stakeholders.

WP2: Development of Pedagogical Framework and Teaching Materials

The goal of this work package is to provide teachers with concrete tools for integrating EU topics into the curriculum. Activities include:

  • Development of the EU Pedagogy Topic Alignment Matrix, linking school subjects with key EU policies,
  • Creation of teaching materials for use in schools,
  • Preparation of methodological guidelines for classroom implementation.

WP3: Teacher Training and Professional Development

To equip teachers with the necessary knowledge and skills for effective EU education, WP3 includes:

  • Delivery of training sessions for teachers on EU topics and teaching methods,
  • A study visit to EU institutions in Brussels, providing firsthand insight into EU operations,
  • Development of online modules for additional teacher training.

WP4: Implementation in Schools and Evaluation

Following the development of teaching materials and teacher training, WP4 focuses on real-world application in schools. Activities include:

  • Pilot implementation of teaching materials in selected schools,
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of new teaching methods,
  • Collecting feedback from teachers and students to further refine the materials.

WP5: Dissemination and Sustainability of Results

To ensure that project results remain widely accessible and sustainable, WP5 focuses on promotion and long-term adoption. Activities include:

  • Developing and maintaining the project website,
  • Organizing workshops and conferences to present project results,
  • Promoting teaching materials among schools, educational institutions, and policymakers,
  • Creating a long-term strategy for continued use of materials and training beyond the project’s duration.

The work packages ensure the successful implementation of the HI EU project, providing teachers with the knowledge and tools to effectively integrate EU topics into their classrooms. Through a structured approach, the project will enhance civic education and EU-related learning in Croatian schools.
